ASHRAE 62.1 (2004): Summary Result tab

Contains controls used to view reports detailing the ASHRAE 62.1–2004 standard calculation results.

Tip: You can open the Results Viewer utility to step through the calculations for displayed results by selecting the result value and clicking for more information (as prompted).

Setting	Description
Summary Results	Contains controls used to view a summary of the prescriptive results for compliance with the ASHRAE 62.1 (2004) standard requirements and an overall standard compliance determination.
Building Type	Lists the building type defined for the project building. OpenBuildings Station Designer provides catalogs of ASHRAE building types including building types for 2004, 2007 and 2007 standards.
Overall ASHRAE 62.1 Compliance	Displays `Pass` or `Fail` if the calculation results reflect an overall compliance of the building with the requirements of the ASHRAE 62.1 standard.
Room Minimum Outside Air: [room name]	Contains controls used to view prescriptive results for each room in the building. Room — Displays the selected room’s name. Building Type — Lists the building type defined for the project building of which the selected room is a member. Room Type — Lists the room type defined for the selected room. The room types is included in the building type catalog, and their default details can be managed using the Room Type Manager . HVAC Equipment — Lists all equipment used in the building for ventilation purposes. Ventilation equipment is defined for the rooms in the building by the Ventilation Component . Required outdoor air rate — Lists the minimum outdoor air rate required for the selected room to comply with the standard. The required outdoor air rate is calculated using the procedures specified by the standard which consider room type, occupancy, elevation level, and floor area. Actual outdoor air rate — Lists the actual outdoor air rate for the selected room calculated using the procedures specified by the standard which consider room type, occupancy, elevation level, and floor area. If the actual outdoor air rate is greater than the required outdoor air rate, the selected room is in compliance with the standard. Room ASHRAE 62.1 Compliance — Displays `Pass` or `Fail` if the calculation results reflect an overall compliance of the selected room with the requirements of the ASHRAE 62.1 standard.
HVAC Minimum Outside Air: [HVAC system name]	Contains controls used to view prescriptive results for each HVAC system in the building. HVAC system — Displays the HVAC system name. Required total outdoor air rate — Displays the required total outdoor air rate which is the of amount of outside air required by the system. Actual total outdoor air rate — Displays the actual total outdoor air rate which is the of amount of outside air used by the system. HVAC ASHRAE 62.1 Compliance — Note: Outdoor air rates may be displayed with zero values. Refer to note B as prompted at the end of the report section.
Notes	Four notes, Note A, B, C and D are provided at the bottom of the Summary Result tab which provide additional information and instructions regarding the ASHRAE 62.1 standard requirements and simulation results, inputs and outputs. These notes are referred to accordingly in the Summary Result tab summary results and room results.
